Today is a year since I last saw mam and said goodbye. This year, hers has been the Christmas present I've missed buying, the most. I've seen various things and thought how much she might like them - seen nice cards and thought how much she'd like the verse. I'd loved to have called her since my knee op on Friday and swapped notes - she had so many ops since her diagnosis in 2009 she was probably an expert on the effects of general anaesthetic and surgery! But at the end of the day she wasn't an overly sentimental person, she would have just wanted us to do something practical and get on with our lives. So my donation today is for my mam, in her memory. Love you mam, miss you every single day.xxx
